Dr Christine Gladney has been with May Veterinary since 2005 (she also did a stint with us between 1995-97). Being a veterinarian is in her blood; she was surrounded by animals on the farm she grew up on in New Jersey and worked in a veterinary hospital during high school and college.
Dr Gladney received her undergraduate degree in Animal and Dairy Science from Auburn University in 1993. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Mississippi State University in 1997. She also won the Upjohn Pharmacia Award for Proficiency upon her graduation. Today Dr Gladney has a special interest in feline medicine. She is a member of the Tuscaloosa County Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr Gladney adopted a three-legged cat named Nubbins from the clinic who lives at home with many other pets and farm animals. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, gardening and cooking. She volunteers at her daughters’ schools and is a member of Romulus United Methodist Church.
