Dr. Waller May started working for his father in his early teens. He, along with his brothers, cleaned cages, bathed dogs, and helped in exam rooms. Later, he assisted with procedures and surgeries.

In 1989 Dr. May graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Auburn University and worked in Orlando, Florida before returning to Tuscaloosa to join his father. Dr. Waller May is licensed in both Alabama and Florida. Dr. May enjoys the variety veterinary medicine offers, however he has a special interest in dermatology, internal medicine and soft tissue surgery.

Dr. May and his family attend Capstone Church. He and his wife, Susan have three sons. Their five dogs travel with him daily and can be found at the clinic greeting pets and their owners. Dr. May enjoys the outdoors, whether it be working at home in the yard, attending football games on The Plain or exploring the beauty of Montana.
